Malbec red wine from Mendoza, Argentina. Available at Trader Joe’s. Blend of 50% Malbec grown at 3600 feet above sea level and 50% Malbec grown at 2300 feet above sea level. Medium complexion. Medium bodied. Strong aromas of blackberry, and blueberry on the nose. Strong, complex mix of flavors with blueberry, blackberry and a little bit of chocolate in the mouth. Earthy and slightly oaky. Light tannins. Fairly dry, with light acidity and a nice light, smooth, silky finish. Easy drinking wine. Pairs well with smoked beef brisket, steak and cheese. 13.5% ABV. Price: $8.99.
