Gaetano D’Aquino 2016 Chianti ReservaSangiovese red wine from Toscana, Italy. Available from Trader Joe’s. Nice Cranberry color complexion. Medium bodied. Aromas of red fruit, with cherry, strawberry, and oak on the nose. Strong cherry with strawberry, cranberry and a hint of chocolate in the mouth. Earthy and oaky. Lots of tannins. Very dry, with higher acidity and a short finish. Pairs well with barbeque, grilled steak, pasta and cheese. 13% ABV. Price: $5.99.
