Filus Classic Malbec 2016

Bought a Malbec to review on the suggestion of my sister. Purchased at Winestore in Blakeney, NC. Red blend from Argentina with Zinfandel, Petite Syrah, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Nice color, medium body, medium tannin. Black fruit with a hint of mint. Easy to drink with or without food. 13.5% ABV. Price: $12.99.
Cooper’s Hawk Super Tuscan 2018

This is the second wine I reviewed. Picked it up at Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant on International Drive in Orlando, Florida during Podfest 2019. Red blend imported from Italy with Sangiovese, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fairly bold with a hint of tobacco. Thoroughly enjoyable. 13.5% ABV. Price: $24.99.

This is the first wine I reviewed. Target’s very own brand. Not the best cab. Not the worst cab. Somewhere inbetween. Easy to drink, but a bit light for a Cabernet Sauvignon. $10 at Target.
